Poses priorities explanation
When we upload an animation or pose to Second Life, we have an option to choose a priority for that animation from 0 to 4. 0 is for internal animation and are meant to be overidden. 1 is for the internal emotes, 2 is for stands in AOs, 3 is for walks, dances, sits, poses and 4 is for walks, dances, animations to drive a vehicle or pose balls.
Now all pose makers should wonder: how are the poses used and am I not too high? (I still speak about priorities here ;) ) And since 2012, all HelaMiyo poses are in priority 3 (from 2008 to 2010 we used priority 3 and 2010 to 2012 priority 4). So I want to explain why and what does it change for you.
Most our poses are either used for photography, or by performing artists on stage or used in AOs as stands. And if you use them in your AOs or for shooting pictures, you might want to wear a fashion accessory that also has its own animation, like a bag or an animated fan, a weapon, a cat or hold any animated object. If our poses were in priority 4, you couldn't use all those objects the way they were designed for.
Now there is no way to recognize what priority is the pose you're going to purchase, so to make it easier, we precise this information on all our vendors in the description, and for the poses you already own, when you play a HelaMiyo animation, the description also precises you the priorities.
In the picture above, my pose is priority 3 and the bag has an animation in priority 4. You can't tell from the expression on my face but I'm happy and I'm smiling on the inside.
